We channel that elemental intentionality into every candle. No. 13 Ògúnlọ́wọ̀ was the home where I grew up—a quaint neighborhood in Lagos, Nigeria, that held my cherished childhood. It was a sanctuary of pure joy, deep comfort, and endless celebration. I created this brand because I wanted to appreciate my identity through the sacred convergence of language, scent, and memory. Yoruba is uniquely expressive and expansive. Our words speak in multitudes—they heal, they affirm. My immersion into fragrance began in that very home, deeply inspired by my late mother. As a global traveler, her suitcases unlocked a world of sensory wonder, holding a curation of rare, exquisite scents gathered from the various countries she visited. She was the first person who taught me the fine art of perfume layering, exposing me early on to the transformative atmosphere of oils and diffusers.
